Grupo Scribere is a team made up of professional and passionate linguists who don’t take words for granted. At the heart of Grupo Scribere is a true love of words, exceptional writing skills, a broad and expressive vocabulary and an excellent, in-depth knowledge of the grammatical nuances, quirks and rules, idioms and colloquialisms of the target language. Grupo Scribere marvels at a well written text and is obsessed with cross cultural understanding.

The Founders
Franco and Elena de Medina founded Grupo Scribere (former Conexión Mundo Traducciones/CMTranslations) in December 2006. Grupo Scribere was born as Franco and Elena realized the need for better translation quality in current Christian literature. When they read the Spanish translation of books written by well-known Christian authors, they noticed the poor quality of the translation. They felt a burden and heard a call to get involved in the publishing world. Their goal is to help improve the quality of the translation services offered to the Christian community through their own translation skills. |
With this vision in mind, and having an excellent command of both the English and Spanish languages, they continued to perfect their language skills. Franco and Elena took several specialization courses on translation techniques and the Quality Assurance Processes. They also specialized in Spanish proofreading and editing. Meanwhile, they offered translation services to secular companies such as Embassies, Consulting Enterprises, the Government of Ecuador, Publishing Companies and Translation Agencies both in and out of Ecuador.

The Scribere team is strongly committed to provide high quality translations and not to let the message get lost due to a bad translation job. When it comes to conveying the essence of the author's heart, we literally go beyond words to achieve this goal!

Their work will not only transfer accurately a text from one language to the other, but will faithfully convey the same intention of the author embedded in the original text.
